PRUDENT NATURAL COCKROACH KILLER IDEAS

Cockroaches are very pernicious creatures that coexist with us in our homes. They have the undesirable habit of carrying all kinds of harmful microbes in its saliva and infecting anything that it comes in contact with. Though they are kind of detrimental creatures, many natural methods or home remedies can be deployed to kill the cockroaches without using harsh and expensive chemicals.

Sprinkle a mixture of equal quantities of baking soda and sugar and watch it work its magic as the roaches start dropping dead after having a taste. This awesome combination works by working very fast and giving results within a few hours making it very effective.

 A PINT OF BEER TO KILL ROACHES

Pick out an empty bottle and fill it about a quarter of the way with some beer. Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to make it a more potent cockroach bait. As these roaches swoop down onto the bottle, little do they realize it is a organic roach killer devised to bring about their doom as they drown in the beer and vegetable solution. One of the reasons why beer acts as such a potent killer is because it emits an odor that is similar to the  pheromones emitted by roaches to communicate with the other members of the nest to tell them about the new food source. This encourages the other cockroaches to come and have a taste of the beer, effectively killing off the entire colony.

 COFFEE TRAP TO THE RESCUE

If you are addicted to your caffeine, you would be surprised to know that the roaches are also enticed by its flavor. You can make a DIY roach trap by placing a small cup filled with freshly ground coffee beans inside a larger jar. Pour around a quarter inch of water in the larger jar and wait for it to work it’s magic. The roaches are lured towards the bait and drown in the water in the large jar as they try to make their way to the enticing coffee beans. Place a few of these traps overnight in different corners of your and watch all the roaches die off and leave you in peace.

 PYRETHREUM SPRAY – FLOWER POWER

Start scouring your neighborhood for some chrysanthemum flowers to make this natural roach killer spray. You can dry and crush the flowers into a fine powder and add some water to it to kill cockroaches. Fill up a spray bottle and spray away to your heart’s glory as soon as you spot one of these nasty roaches.

 THE DEADLY CUCUMBER PEELS

The next time you are are enjoying a fresh garden salad, do not throw away the cucumber peels, they can help you in killing cockroaches.  These peels when placed in an aluminium container form a particular toxic gas which is potent to roaches and help keep their population under control .

As the roaches are attracted to the bait, they will find themselves caught in an evil cockroach trap to bring about their end. The vaseline along the mouth of the flask makes it impossible for the roaches to climb out of the trap and make it a very effective roach trap.

 DIATOMACEOUS EARTH

Diatomaceous earth is a kind of soft sedimentary rock that can be easily crushed into fine powder. This powder is often inserted in the walls of an infested home through the holes around power outlets in the wall. It acts as a natural roach killer as it causes the insects to die without using any chemicals.

 RECYCLE SODA BOTTLE INTO COCKROACH TRAPS

Take a clean soda bottle and make a clean cut horizontally across the spot where it starts curving at the top of the bottle. Place it inverted to look like a funnel and tape it in place. Once the trap is ready, add some easily available cockroach bait like a bit of wine or even a bit of soap solution will do the work. This soda trap bottle is one of the top remedies to get rid of cockroaches from your home. As the roaches get attracted towards the trap due to bait, they find themselves falling into the trap, with no way to escape. This is an ingenious method of capturing roaches without using any harmful chemicals that harms the environment.  Keep checking on the trap regularly and refill the bait as and when required.

 NO SWEAT COMMERCIAL TRAPS

A visit to your local store will turn up plenty of roach traps that work quite well when used with some natural roach bait, or even a dash of the boric acid cockroach killer recipe can do the trick. If you have gotten hold of those sticky sheets often used to capture mice, all you need is an overripe fruit placed in the middle of the sheet to get rid of roaches in your apartment naturally.

Even though commercial traps are not completely natural killing methods, they get the job done without using unnecessary chemicals. This makes it way better than the pesticides and insecticides available in the market.

 BAKING POWDER TRAPS

Baking Powder has been described as effective cockroach bait when it is mixed along with anything sweet. Baking powder in rice or with sugar has often been used by people to get good results. Place baking powder bait inside a trap and leave it overnight. Keep repeating this a few nights in a row to make sure that you are able to kill roaches organically than using some store bought chemical spray.

 STICK TO THE ROUTINE TO COMPLETELY ERADICATE COCKROACHES

Consistency is the name of the game if you plan to get rid of roaches from your apartment or home permanently using only natural or organic methods. Keep resetting your traps with fresh bait every few days since killing cockroaches naturally takes a longer time than using toxic chemical sprays. But it does let you sleep at night with the knowledge that you are not causing your family unwanted harm by exposing them to deadly and possibly fatal fumes of chemical roach sprays.
